About the Conference of Economics for Graduate Students

          Realizing the importance of having a formal platform on which graduate students can exchange and disseminate research ideas, eight national higher-education institutions with Economics courses/programs, including Kasetsart University, Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Srinakharinwirot University and National Institute of Development Administration, co-host and co-organize an academic conference for graduate students in Economics on an annual basis. The objectives of the Conference are threefold:
          1. To disseminate knowledge that is a result of research by graduate students.
          2. To promote the exchange of ideas among graduate students, academic institutions and all related parties.
          3. To stimulate further research and knowledge dissemination in all areas of Economics, which will ultimately and hopefully be conducive to improved Economics teaching and a better management of resources for the economy at large
         It should be noted that a presentation of a graduate-level thesis or individual study (IS) at this Conference and the accompanying Conference proceedings can be used as part of the fulfillment of graduation requirements according to the criteria (B.E. 2548 and B.E. 2558) set by the Office of Higher Education Commission Thailand
         The Eleventh Conference on Economics for Graduate Students will be held on Friday 30 June 2017 at Mahitaladhibesra Building, Chulalongkorn University. The Faculty of Economics at Chulalongkorn University will serve as the main host this year.

For Paper Presenters

        The application process takes several steps. Please follow these steps and read the instructions carefully.
        1. Prepare your manuscript in accordance with the template provided (Download Template), and save the file in both Word and PDF.
        2. Fill in the form below completely.
        3. Within 24 hours, the system will auto-generate an email (1 of 3) to acknowledge the receipt of your information and to provide you with an identification number (ID), to which you will refer in further communications with the Conference Organizing Committee. You will need to check email and confirm your application via the URL link embedded in the email.
        4. All submitted manuscripts will undergo a review process. You will be notified of the outcome (Accept/Reject, with suggestions to further improve the paper) through an email (2 of 3) by 15 June 2017.
        5. If your manuscript is accepted for (oral) presentation, you will have to make a Bill Payment of 2,000 (Two Thousand) Thai Baht, filling in the pay-in slip as provided here ( Download PAY-IN SLIP) with Pay-In Slip translation file here (Bill Payment Translation file) and taking it to a commercial bank to have the payment processed. You will need to keep a copy of the signed pay-in slip for two purposes: (1) to confirm your payment with the Faculty of Economics at Chulalongkorn University and (2) to collect the invoice at the Conference venue.
        6. Check the email you receive from Stage 4 above, and follow the link embedded in that email. It will take you to a payment confirmation form, where you will need to fill in your Conference ID and upload the signed pay-in slip (as photo file, i.e. jpg file) onto the system. The payment and the payment confirmation process must be completed by 21 June 2017.
        7. Once the payment has been verified and processed, you will receive the final email (3 of 3) to confirm the application and your participation as a paper presenter at the Conference. This email should reach you by the end of 23 June 2017.
        8. Present your paper on 30 June 2017!

For Conference Participants (Non-Presenters)

        The application process takes several steps. Please follow these steps and read the instructions carefully.
        1. Fill in the form below completely.
        2. Within 24 hours, the system will auto-generate an email (1 of 2) to acknowledge the receipt of your information and to provide you with an identification number (ID), to which you will refer in further communications with the Conference Organizing Committee.         3. Upon having had your information confirmed, you will have to make a Bill Payment of 1,000 (One Thousand) Thai Baht, filling in the pay-in slip as provided here (Download PAY-IN SLIP) and taking it to a commercial bank to have the payment processed. You will need to keep a copy of the signed pay-in slip for two purposes: (1) to confirm your payment with the Faculty of Economics at Chulalongkorn University and (2) to collect the invoice at the Conference venue.
        4. Check the email you receive from Stage 2 above, and follow the link embedded in that email.
